These athletes were filmed during a free bodybuilding contest opens to seniors. Beyond the representation of strength and control that these bodybuilders impose onto their bodies, what stands out in this film is the vulnerability of these congested bodies which falter under stress and to the sound of romantic popular music. “Let Me Love You” shows us elderly bodybuilders who expose less the ideal body of a Kouros, than the fragility and the thirst for the love they seek in the gaze of those who look at them.

Ces athlètes ont été filmés lors d’une compétition libre de bodybuilding catégorie seniors. Au-delà de la représentation de force et de maîtrise que ces bodybuilders imposent à leur corps ; ce qui ressort dans ce film, c’est la vulnérabilité des corps d’hommes congestionnés et vacillants au son de musiques populaires romantiques. “Let Me Love You” nous montre des culturistes âgés, qui exposent moins le corps idéal d’un Kouros, que leur fragilité et la soif d’amour qu’ils cherchent dans l’œil de ceux qui les regarde.
